Beirut: The Ministry of Interior on Sunday released updated voter turnout percentages for the municipal and mayoral elections in the North Lebanon and Akkar governorates, broken down by district.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Batroun recorded a voter turnout of 31.25%, leading the participation across the regions. Akkar followed with a turnout of 26.10%, while Minieh-Dennieh saw 25.94% of eligible voters casting their votes. In Koura, the turnout was recorded at 23.69%, slightly higher than Zgharta's 23.59%. Bsharri had a turnout of 20.24%, whereas Tripoli saw the lowest participation with just 10.61% of registered voters taking part in the elections.
The Ministry's report highlights the varying levels of voter engagement across the districts, providing a detailed breakdown that reflects the political climate and public interest in the electoral process within these regions.
