Baabda: President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, on Tuesday welcomed Prime Minister Nawaf Salam at Baabda Palace. The meeting focused on the outcomes of the Arab Summit held in Baghdad last weekend, along with discussions held by the Prime Minister on the summit's sidelines.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun also briefed Salam on the results of his meetings in Rome on Saturday and his official visit to Cairo on Monday. The discussions highlighted significant diplomatic engagements aimed at strengthening regional cooperation.
The two leaders also addressed the ongoing municipal and mukhtar elections, reviewing preparations for the fourth and final phase scheduled to take place in the South and Nabatieh governorates. The discussions underscored the importance of ensuring smooth and transparent electoral processes in the remaining phases.
