Britain Clarifies Non-Participation in US Strike on Iran

London: British Secretary of State for Business and Trade Jonathan Reynolds confirmed that Britain did not participate in the US airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities but was informed in advance by Washington about the attack.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Reynolds explained that "Britain has not received any US request to use its military base on Diego Garcia, one of the strategic US and British bases in the Indian Ocean."

He added that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is consulting with allies regarding the developments, amid calls to avoid further escalation in the Middle East.
