Aoun Commends MEA Chairman for Sustaining Air Connectivity Amid Regional Unrest

Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, held a meeting with the Chairman of Middle East Airlines (MEA), Mohammad El-Hout, to discuss the national carrier's strategies in maintaining air connectivity amid ongoing Israeli-Iranian tensions. El-Hout provided a detailed briefing on the proactive measures MEA has implemented to sustain flight operations despite the challenging regional airspace situation.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, El-Hout stressed MEA's commitment to ensuring the continuity of flights, adapting to the constraints imposed by regional airspace restrictions. He highlighted the crucial collaboration with Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez Rasamny, which has been integral to MEA's operational strategy during this period.

President Aoun expressed his gratitude for the dedication demonstrated by El-Hout, his team, and all MEA employees in maintaining Lebanon's air travel links with the world. He praised the effective coordination between MEA, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, and airport staff, which has been pivotal in keeping flight operations smooth and uninterrupted.
