Beirut: The General Directorate of Cultural Affairs of the Ministry of Culture announced that nominations for the "Best Foreign Language Film" category of the 2026 Academy Awards will be accepted from July 17 to September 2, 2025. The competition is overseen by the United States Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which sets the standards for the international film submissions.
According to National news agency - Lebanon, a specialized committee is responsible for defining the criteria and procedures for selecting Lebanese films to compete for the prestigious Oscar nomination. Filmmakers interested in entering the competition must submit their films to the Directorate of Cultural Affairs located at the UNESCO Palace, specifically on the first floor, during official opening hours.
