Beirut: Druze Sheikh Al-Aql Sami Abi Al-Mona contacted today former Progressive Socialist Party Chief Walid Jumblatt and former MP Talal Arslan, exchanging condolences over the fallen martyrs in Syria's Sweida.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Sheikh Abi Al-Mona also received a phone call from House Speaker Nabih Berri, who expressed his solidarity with the members of the Druze community regarding the events that took place in the city of Sweida. Berri valued the positions of His Eminence Sheikh Al-Aql and Chief Walid Jumblatt in preventing strife in Lebanon.
Sheikh Abi Al-Mona also received calls expressing solidarity and acknowledging his stances from former President Michel Sleiman, Lebanese Forces Party Head Samir Geagea, and Alawite Islamic Council Head Sheikh Ali Qaddour.
In addition, the Druze Sheikh Aql received dozens of letters and cables from outside Lebanon, expressing solidarity with the Druze Sect and commending the positions of Sheikh Al-Aql.
