Minister of Culture Welcomes Descendants of Sculptor Youssef Ghossoub

Beirut: Minister of Culture, Dr. Ghassan Salameh, recently welcomed a delegation of descendants of the renowned sculptor Youssef Ghossoub at his office in the Sanayeh National Library. The delegation included Ghossoub's descendants Venus, Rachad, and Fadi.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the focal point of the meeting was the discussion of the significant contributions made by Youssef Ghossoub, particularly his sculpture from 1932 that depicts the Baalbek Citadel and its ruins. The descendants presented a proposal concerning this iconic piece of art.

During the gathering, the delegation also gifted Minister Salameh a book titled "The Pulse of Stone," which chronicles the life and artistic journey of Youssef Ghossoub, highlighting his profound connection with sculpture.
