Morcos Honored in Aaramoun Visit with Warm Reception, Tribute

Aaramoun: Minister of Information, lawyer Paul Morcos, paid a visit to the municipality of Aaramoun - Keserwan, upon the invitation of Mayor Sakhr Azar and municipal council members. The visit began with a tour of the town and a prayer service at the historic Mar Rouhana Monastery, a site of personal significance to Minister Morcos, who spent part of his childhood in Aaramoun with his maternal family, the Chbat lineage from Keserwan.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the evening culminated in a dinner hosted by Mayor Azar and his wife, Maria Azar, who also heads the Aaramoun clinic, in honor of Minister Morcos and Bishop Yohana Rafiq Al-Warsha, Maronite Patriarchal Vicar of Jounieh. Among the distinguished guests were Bishop Antoine Nabil Al-Andari, Maronite League President Maroun El Helou, Union of Keserwan-Ftouh Municipalities President Elie Baainou, and consuls Jacques Hakim, Charbel Chbeir, and Nazih Klassi.

In their remarks, speakers praised Morcos as a principled legal figure and a voice for justice and freedom. The Minister responded with heartfelt gratitude, reaffirming his commitment to public service.

During the ceremony, Morcos received a commemorative plaque from the municipality and a Saint Rouhana icon from the monastery. Honorary plaques were also presented to the attending bishops and officials.
