Beirut: An average of 28 children a day, equivalent to the size of a classroom, have been killed in Gaza as a result of ongoing Israeli bombardment and a blockade that has persisted for over 660 days. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, UNICEF highlighted the dire situation in a post on X, stating: "Death by bombardments. Death by malnutrition and starvation. Death by lack of aid and vital services. In Gaza, an average of 28 children a day - the size of a classroom - have been killed." The statement underscores the urgent need for humanitarian aid, emphasizing that children in Gaza require food, water, medicine, and protection. UNICEF's post also called for immediate action, stressing, "More than anything, they need a ceasefire, NOW."
