PM Nawaf Salam Engages in Dialogue with Key Delegations at Grand Serail

Beirut: Prime Minister, Dr. Nawaf Salam, on Wednesday received at the Grand Serail a delegation from the Association of Muslim Scholars in Lebanon, led by Sheikh Salem Rafei. During their meeting, discussions centered around national affairs and the government's recent initiatives.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Sheikh Al-Rafei expressed commendation for the government's bold stance taken the previous day. He conveyed the delegation's optimism regarding the government's potential to bring about prosperity and justice, particularly concerning the detained Islamists and other related matters.

In addition to the meeting with the Muslim Scholars Association, Prime Minister Salam welcomed a delegation from the Syndicate of Optical Center Owners, led by Dean Fadi Al-Hakim. The delegation briefed the Prime Minister on the syndicate's objectives and discussed various industry-related issues.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister engaged with a delegation from the Akroum Municipalities Union. Led by Union President Ali Ahmed Esber, the delegation presented a set of demands concerning local district matters, seeking the Premier's support in addressing these issues.

On a separate note, Salam also met with Lebanon's representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Ahmed Arafa, to discuss Lebanon's ongoing representation and initiatives at the international level.
