Paris: Foreign Ministers Jean-No«l Barrot of France, Johann Wadephul of Germany, David Lammy of Britain, and Kaya Kallas of the European Union held a phone call on Friday with their Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi. The focus of the discussion was the Iranian nuclear program and the potential reactivation of sanctions.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Barrot emphasized the urgency of the matter, noting on X that "time is running out." He highlighted that a new meeting on the issue is scheduled for next week, confirming Tehran's announcement of a meeting next Tuesday at the foreign ministers' level.
The Europeans resumed negotiations with Tehran over its nuclear program in late July during a meeting in Istanbul. The ongoing discussions aim to address long-standing concerns about Iran's nuclear activities and the related international sanctions.
