Beirut: Minister of Culture, Dr. Ghassan Salameh, took on the role of representing both the President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, and the Prime Minister, Judge Nawaf Salam, at a memorial ceremony honoring engineer Jean-Louis Mainguy. The event, held at the Saint-Joseph Church of the Jesuit Fathers, gathered numerous political, diplomatic, and cultural figures, alongside the relatives of the deceased.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Dr. Salameh, on behalf of the President, bestowed the National Order of the Cedar, Knighthood, to Mainguy's family during the ceremony. In his address, Salameh conveyed the President's decision to honor the late engineer with the prestigious award and expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. He extended his prayers for the deceased's eternal peace and comfort for his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
