Baabda: President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, on Friday held a series of meetings at Baabda Palace today, beginning with Minister of Administrative Development Fadi Makki, who briefed him on the ministry's reform agenda and the progress of its programs, particularly the upcoming launch of the 'Reinventing Government 2030' initiative aimed at restructuring Lebanon's public institutions.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the President also met with Army Commander General Rodolphe Haikal, discussing recent security developments and matters concerning the military institution.
In a separate meeting, Director General of State Security, Major General Edgard Lawandos, presented updates on the agency's operations, particularly its efforts in combating corruption.
President Aoun later received Lebanon's newly appointed Ambassador to Greece, Konj Al-Hajal, ahead of his departure to assume his post. Ambassador Al-Hajal thanked the President and the Cabinet for their trust, pledging to serve Lebanon's interests and strengthen its presence on the international stage.
President Aoun wished him success in his new diplomatic role.
