Beirut: Following today's Cabinet session that discussed the 2026 draft state budget, Information Minister, Paul Morcos, said that "the Council of Ministers re-discussed the pending items from previous sessions, which required further discussion."
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Morcos emphasized the importance of avoiding provisions or clauses not directly related to the budget. A significant focus of the session was on preventing tax evasion to achieve a balance between revenues and expenditures and to avoid a budget deficit.
