Minister of Culture Discusses ALIPH-Funded Projects with Friedland

Beirut: Minister of Culture Dr. Ghassan Salameh met with Val©ry Freland, Executive Director of the International Alliance for the Protection of Heritage in Conflict Areas (ALIPH) at the National Library in Sanayeh. The discussion centered around the evaluation of projects funded by ALIPH in the aftermath of the Beirut port explosion and explored opportunities for future funding in various regions of Lebanon.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Freland highlighted the achievements of the projects, stating that nearly 40 houses, along with numerous landmarks, churches, and historic homes, received funding for restoration. The meeting also included discussions on potential restoration projects in Byblos and Tripoli, as well as future efforts in South Lebanon, emphasizing the importance of Lebanese heritage to ALIPH's mission.
