Beirut: The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants announced that China will resume issuing visas to Lebanese citizens starting September 25. This comes after more than a year-long suspension attributed to security and military developments.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the resumption follows ongoing contacts and close follow-up efforts by the Lebanese Ministry with the Chinese Embassy in Lebanon. Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon, Chen Chuandong, communicated with Foreign Minister Youssef Raggi, who was in New York at the time, to confirm that visa services would revert to their prior status before the suspension.
