Beirut: Minister of Culture, Dr. Ghassan Salameh, met at his office in the National Library - Sanayeh with Dr. Nayla Tabbara, President of the Adyan Foundation, and its Executive Director, Alexandre Adam. The meeting focused on the foundation's activities and the potential for future collaboration with the Ministry, particularly in promoting a culture of diversity.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the discussion also addressed the organization of a dedicated Cultural Diversity Week in partnership with the Ministry. Dr. Tabbara emphasized that their perspectives and methodologies align, highlighting the country's richness in diversity and the need to address barriers to openness, such as fears and collective memory, to build policies that value diversity at all levels.
Dr. Tabbara also announced the Foundation's readiness to provide its publications to the National Library and all public reading centers and cultural hubs affiliated with the Ministry. Furthermore, she briefed Minister Salameh on preparations for Solidarity Day, an event organized by Adyan, scheduled for the 25th of this month, expressing hope that it will be held under his patronage.
