Salam Bids Farewell to U.S. Ambassador Johnson, Meets USEK President Makrzel

Beirut: Prime Minister Nawaf Salam on Monday received U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Lisa Johnson at the Grand Serail, in a farewell visit marking the end of her diplomatic mission in Beirut.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, earlier in the day, Salam met with Father Joseph Makrzel, President of the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK), who was accompanied by adviser Nehmat Azouri. Following their meeting, Father Makrzel expressed his support for the Prime Minister and his government. He emphasized that the university is willing to offer all its resources to assist in Lebanon's recovery efforts.

Father Makrzel also extended an invitation to Prime Minister Salam to attend the installation ceremony of USEK's new president, which is scheduled to take place on October 15.
