Beirut: Prime Minister, Dr. Nawaf Salam, on Wednesday received at the Grand Serail, Army Commander General Rodolphe Haykal, with whom he discussed the general situation. Premier Salam also received Malaysian Ambassador to Lebanon, Dato' Azri Mat Yacoob, who paid him a farewell visit upon the end of his diplomatic mission in the country.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting between Prime Minister Salam and General Haykal focused on the current state of affairs. The discussions aimed at understanding the ongoing developments and challenges faced by the nation.
In a separate engagement, Premier Salam expressed gratitude to Ambassador Dato' Azri Mat Yacoob for his service and contributions to strengthening the bilateral relations between Lebanon and Malaysia. The farewell visit marked the conclusion of the ambassador's tenure in the country.
