Beirut: Prime Minister Nawaf Salam received this afternoon the Secretary of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of Acting Foreign Minister Ghassan Salame. The latest developments in the region and bilateral relations between the two countries topped their discussions.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Prime Minister Salam emphasized that Lebanese-Iranian relations must be grounded in "mutual respect for each state's sovereignty and non-interference in internal affairs." The meeting highlighted the importance of strengthening ties while ensuring respect for national sovereignty in both nations.
