Israeli Army Instructed to Halt Gaza Occupation

Beirut: Israeli Army Radio announced today that the political leadership has ordered a reduction in activity in Gaza to a minimum and the implementation of only "defensive" operations in the Strip, according to Sky News Arabia. The radio stated that "following US President Donald Trump's announcement, the political leadership instructed the army to halt the operation to occupy Gaza."

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, in a related development, Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir issued instructions to increase readiness to implement the first phase of Trump's plan to release the hostages. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had stated that Israel was preparing to implement the "first phase" of President Trump's plan to end the war in Gaza.
