Maroun al-ras: Member of the "Loyalty to the Resistance" parliamentary bloc, MP Hassan Fadlallah, expressed concerns over the government's handling of national issues, urging it to fulfill its responsibilities amid ongoing challenges. He emphasized that the government, despite its limitations, should prioritize the protection of citizens, reconstruction efforts, and halting Israeli attacks.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Fadlallah highlighted the inefficacy of using power arbitrarily, stating it would not force unwanted choices on the people. He urged government officials to address current issues without resorting to confrontational tactics, stressing the importance of adhering to Lebanon's diverse society, popular will, and constitutional guidelines.
Fadlallah's comments were made during a commemorative ceremony in Tebnine, honoring the martyrs of Maroun al-Ras. He criticized the government for prioritizing personal interests and external pressures over domestic needs, calling for a focus on citizen-centric governance. Despite the government's temporary nature, Fadlallah insisted it must act responsibly and heed national priorities.
