Beirut: Minister of Energy and Water, Joe Saddi, held meetings with representatives from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and a German delegation to discuss ongoing and future collaborations in Lebanon's water sector.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Saddi met with FAO Representative in Lebanon, Nora Ourabah Haddad, and Technical Coordinator for Irrigation and Water, Maya Mhanna. The discussions centered around the organization's current initiatives and joint projects with the ministry aimed at improving water management across the country.
In a separate meeting, Saddi engaged with German Ambassador Kurt Georg St¶ckl-Stillfried, along with Director of German Cooperation in Lebanon, Jutta Simon, and GIZ Director General, Ingrid Gabriela Hoven. They were accompanied by GIZ Lebanon Director Matthias Wagner and other officials. The discussions highlighted GIZ's role in supporting water management and infrastructure projects in partnership with the ministry, underscoring the importance of international cooperation in addressing Lebanon's water sector challenges.
