Beirut: Free Patriotic Movement leader, MP Gebran Bassil, toured several villages in Batroun, starting with a visit to Bijdarfel where he laid a wreath at the Martyrs Memorial Statue of October 13, 1990.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Bassil's next stop was Hardin, where he inspected the ongoing restoration works at the Hardini Inn Hotel. He also visited the Monastery of St. John, which had received restoration support through a Hungarian grant, and reviewed the restoration efforts at the Monastery of St. Sarkis and Bacchus.
The tour wrapped up with a meeting at the residence of Mayor Joseph Assaf of Hardin.
