Tannourine: Tannourine Water Company Chairman Georges Makhoul on Tuesday asserted during a press conference that "for forty years, Tannourine water has been among the cleanest, with no questions ever raised about its quality."
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Makhoul stated that the company was not officially notified by the Ministry of Public Health regarding any suspension decision and instead learned of it through social media. He pointed out that the sample used for testing was not collected according to proper procedures or in the presence of a company representative, which he believes makes the results unreliable.
Furthermore, Makhoul highlighted that Tannourine's products undergo regular testing, consistently confirming compliance with all safety standards.
"We are not in confrontation with the state," Makhoul said, "but we are seeking to correct a regrettable mistake. We reserve our right to take all necessary measures to protect our reputation while maintaining full cooperation with state institutions."
