Beirut: Health Minister, Rakan Nasreddine, on Tuesday issued a statement clarifying recent reports regarding Decision No. 1931/1 dated October 13, 2025, which temporarily suspended the Tanourine company from bottling and selling drinking water due to contamination concerns.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the ministry explained that the decision was signed by the acting minister during the absence of the minister abroad. It emphasized that additional samples of Tanourine water are being tested in certified laboratories, with results pending.
The Ministry of Health has also begun collecting samples from other bottled water brands available in the market to ensure quality and safety.
The statement affirmed that the suspension imposed on Tanourine will be immediately lifted once the company meets all health and quality standards, reiterating the ministry's commitment to safeguarding public health while upholding the reputation of compliant Lebanese companies.
