Washington: MP Ibrahim Kanaan continued his meetings in Washington on the sidelines of the IMF and World Bank annual sessions. He met with the IMF mission to Lebanon, led by Ernesto Ramirez, to discuss closing the financial gap and restoring depositors' confidence, alongside reforms and the upcoming 2026 budget. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, at the White House, Kanaan met Wayne Wull, Special Assistant to the U.S. President for Middle East Affairs, and Wissam Hassanein, Special Advisor to the Vice President, to discuss U.S. support for Lebanon's sovereignty, army, and implementation of international resolutions. Further meetings are planned with the World Bank and U.S. Treasury.
