Beirut: Minister of Interior and Municipalities Ahmad al-Hajjar engaged in significant discussions with the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, and UNDP Resident Representative in Lebanon, Blerta Aliko at his office on Monday. The talks centered around potential avenues for joint cooperation and the support that can be extended by the UN, specifically in the context of preparing for the forthcoming parliamentary elections.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Minister Hajjar further broadened his discussions to include developmental topics with local lawmakers. He met with MP Karim Kabbara to deliberate on developmental and service-related issues that concern the northern city of Tripoli, aiming to enhance the city’s infrastructure and public services.
Additionally, Hajjar held talks with MP Amin Sherri and a delegation from the Southern Suburb Municipalities Union. This meeting focused on addressing municipal and service-related matters, seeking to improve local governance and service delivery in the region.
