Beirut: Following the parliamentary session on Tuesday, MP Georges Adwan reaffirmed lawmakers’ determination to hold the parliamentary elections on schedule, stressing that the solution regarding expatriate voting lies in ‘a draft law to be prepared by the government and referred to Parliament.’
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the lawmaker called on President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam to include the bill submitted by Foreign Minister Youssef Raggi on the agenda for a vote.
Adwan added, ‘We must refer all contentious issues to the general assembly and abide by its decisions, but we will not accept remaining in uncertainty regarding the upcoming elections.’
