Fuel Prices Adjusted in Lebanon Amid Economic Challenges

Beirut: The Ministry of Energy and Water has announced adjustments to fuel prices in Lebanon, with significant changes affecting both gasoline and diesel. The updated prices reflect a rise in costs for gasoline and diesel, whereas the price of gas has decreased. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the cost of gasoline has increased by LBP 5,000 for both 95- and 98-octane variants. The updated prices for gasoline now stand at LBP 1,391,000 for 95 octane and LBP 1,431,000 for 98 octane. Diesel prices have also risen, with an increase of LBP 9,000, bringing the new price to LBP 1,310,000. In contrast, the price of gas has seen a reduction, dropping by LBP 19,000, resulting in a new price of LBP 1,061,000. These adjustments come as part of the government's regular review of fuel prices, which are influenced by various factors including international market trends and local economic conditions.
