Beirut: The Ministry of Public Works and Transport has completed maintenance, paving, and asphalting works on the remaining three-kilometer stretch of Kouaa Al-Salib-Masnaa road, extending from the Masnaa border point toward the Syrian frontier. These works fall within the ministry's ongoing national plan to upgrade road networks and enhance safety standards along international highways.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the project included the rehabilitation of the road's alignment to improve traffic flow and reduce accident risks, as well as the installation of warning signs, directional panels, and reflective markers to ensure driver safety, particularly at night.
The ministry noted that this road segment had previously sustained severe damage from Israeli airstrikes, prompting its reconstruction as part of a comprehensive plan to restore and develop border-area roads of both security and economic importance.
In its statement, the ministry reaffirmed its commitment to improving traffic safety and connectivity between Lebanon's border regions and the national highway network, in pursuit of balanced development and the public interest.
