Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri met with a World Bank delegation in Ain al-Tineh, discussing the World Bank's projects and Lebanon's reconstruction efforts. The delegation included 11 executive directors from the World Bank, alongside World Bank Group Executive Director Abdulaziz Al Mulla, World Bank Regional Director Jean-Christophe Carret, Director of the World Bank's Beirut office Enrique Blanco Armas, and Speaker Berri's Media Advisor Dr. Ali Hamdan.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting focused on Lebanon's reconstruction dossier and World Bank programs. Berri presented a detailed map from the National Council for Scientific Research, highlighting damage from Israeli aggression over two years. The presentation covered destruction in border villages with occupied Palestine and damage to infrastructure, including roads, and educational, health, tourism, industrial facilities, and the energy sector. Berri also discussed agricultural losses and environmental impacts from prohibited weapons used by Israel.
