Rasamny Engages in Strategic Meeting with World Bank Delegation at Government Serail


Beirut: Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez Rasamny, participated this afternoon in a working meeting chaired by Prime Minister Nawaf Salam at the Grand Serail. The session included a delegation from the World Bank Group led by Executive Director Abdul Aziz Al-Mulla, alongside several key ministers and the President of the Council for Development and Reconstruction, Mohammed Qabbani.



According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Rasamny presented a concise overview of his ministry’s project progress, highlighting current challenges and outlining necessary steps to expedite implementation. The meeting aimed at strengthening the partnership between the World Bank Group and the Lebanese government, focusing on recovery, reform, and reconstruction. It also reviewed the progress of Bank-funded projects, discussing ways to accelerate their completion.



Executive Director representing France at the World Bank, Arnaud Fernand-Boisset, emphasized the group’s commitment to supporting Lebanon’s reforms and recovery. He praised the government’s efforts and stressed the need to speed up the implementation of approved projects, particularly in the sectors of water, public finance, and reconstruction.



Meanwhile, the Public Works and Transport Ministry reiterated its commitment to working closely with the World Bank to hasten project execution and achieve targeted outcomes.
