Beirut: Prime Minister, Dr. Nawaf Salam, engaged in significant discussions with a delegation from the global company, Morgan Stanley, at the Grand Serail, coinciding with their participation in the "Beirut One" conference.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Premier Salam highlighted that the visit by Morgan Stanley signals investors' strong confidence in Lebanon's resilience, its skilled human resources, and the country's promising prospects for reconstruction and growth. The Prime Minister emphasized that Lebanon is embarking on a new trajectory focused on comprehensive reform, transparency, and inclusive growth, with tangible progress being observed at various security, political, economic, and social levels.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Salam underscored the government's commitment to modernizing public institutions and strengthening the partnership between the public and private sectors. He also emphasized the importance of investing in basic infrastructure. He concluded by stating that when the state adheres to transparency and responsible investment, global financial institutions like Morgan Stanley play a pivotal role in Lebanon's recovery and revival.
In another engagement, Premier Salam met with Greek Orthodox Metropolitan of Zahle, Baalbek, and their dependencies, Metropolitan Antonios Al Souri, as well as Greek Orthodox Metropolitan of Sidon and the South, Metropolitan Elias Kfoury, Father Porphyrios Ibrahim, and Father Joseph Khoury. The discussions reportedly covered the latest developments and addressed the current conditions and demands of the people in Zahle, the Bekaa, and the South.
In addition, Premier Salam also had an audience with Princess Hayat Arslan at the Grand Serail earlier in the day.
