PM Nawaf Salam Calls for Swift Measures to Resume Exports to Saudi Arabia

Beirut: Lebanon's Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said on Monday that he met with the visiting Saudi delegation in Beirut to discuss steps to resume Lebanese exports to Saudi Arabia, urging all concerned agencies to work quickly to remove remaining obstacles.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Salam stated in a post on X that he had received the Saudi delegation to deliberate on procedures necessary for the resumption of Lebanese exports to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He emphasized the need for all relevant parties to act swiftly in resolving any barriers obstructing the revival of this crucial income source for Lebanon's economy.

He further noted that this initiative follows discussions held during President Joseph Aoun's meeting, as well as his own meeting, with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Salam acknowledged the support of His Royal Highness and the Kingdom in aiding Lebanon and its stability, expressing gratitude and continued affection for their backing.
