Beirut: On behalf of the Lebanese Republic, Minister of the Displaced and State Minister for Technology and Artificial Intelligence, Kamal Shehadeh, laid a floral wreath today at the monument of martyred President Ren© Moawad.
According to National news agency - Lebanon, during the ceremony, a Lebanese Army unit played the national anthem in the presence of the martyred president's son, MP Michel Moawad, his family, and a number of political figures.
In his brief word of tribute, Shehadeh considered that "this marks the thirty-sixth commemoration of the martyrdom of those who believed in the Taif Agreement as a path to ending the war, and who believed in building a democratic, sovereign, and strong republic through the implementation of the constitution."
