Berri Engages in Strategic Meetings with UNRWA Head, UN Official, and Azizi Group Chairman

Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri convened with key international figures at the Second Presidency headquarters in Ain al-Tineh. In a significant meeting, Berri hosted UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini, accompanied by the Director of UNRWA Affairs in Lebanon, Dorothee Klaus.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, discussions focused on developments in Lebanon and the broader region, emphasizing the Palestinian refugee dossier and UNRWA's operational programs within the country. This meeting underscores the continuing collaboration between Lebanese authorities and international agencies in addressing refugee issues.

Subsequently, Berri engaged with UN Assistant Secretary-General for the Middle East, Asia, and the Pacific, Khaled Khiari. Their dialogue centered on the current situation in the Middle East and the United Nations' role in fostering stability and support in the region.

In addition to these diplomatic discussions, Speaker Berri met with Mirwais Azizi, the Founder and Chairman of the UAE-based Azizi Group. The meeting with Azizi, an influential Afghan businessman, highlighted the potential for economic discussions that could further strengthen ties between Lebanon and international business entities.
