Riyadh: Saudi Arabia is set to host its inaugural international nonprofit forum next week, aiming to bolster the sector's influence on sustainable development and enhance its social and economic footprint.
According to Anadolu Agency, the BEYOND PROFIT International Non-Profit Forum will occur from December 3rd to 5th in Riyadh. This event is crafted as a global stage for senior leaders, decision-makers, experts, and social-impact innovators from across the globe to converge.
The forum's primary goal is to deliberate on the nonprofit sector's future and its vital role in sustainable development, while also amplifying its social and economic impact locally and internationally, as reported by the state news agency SPA. More than 80 speakers from various fields will contribute to the forum, which boasts a comprehensive agenda of panel discussions addressing the main challenges and opportunities within the nonprofit sector.
The scheduled sessions include themes such as 'Building Trust Through Compliance and Transparency,' 'Give It Away, the Right Way,' and 'Purpose in the Age of AI.' These discussions will explore innovation, accountability, and mission-focused impact. Other sessions will delve into the relationship between social impact and economic growth, innovative models for philanthropic collaboration, and the future of aid, technology, and development beyond 2030. Attendees will also have access to specialized workshops.
As reported by SPA, the event is organized around four principal themes crucial for a sustainable nonprofit sector. The first theme emphasizes governance and community-driven innovation; the second focuses on workforce resilience and leadership development; the third involves resource mobilization and the application of modern technologies like artificial intelligence; and the fourth aims at strengthening integration between government and nonprofit institutions to achieve sustainability.
The forum signifies Saudi Arabia's ambition to establish itself as a global center for innovation and social impact in development fields. It also aligns with the kingdom's ongoing commitment to nurturing the nonprofit sector as a pivotal growth driver by embracing modern visions, innovative financing mechanisms, and strategic alliances in tune with global transformations. SPA highlighted that this initiative underpins the broader objectives of Vision 2030, elevating the nonprofit sector's role in crafting a more sustainable and prosperous future.
