Minister Al-Sayed: 380,000 Displaced Syrians Have Returned to Their Country

Beirut: Minister of Social Affairs, Haneen Sayed, announced on the X platform that 380,000 displaced Syrians have returned to their homeland as part of the Safe Return Plan initiated by the ministerial committee in July 2025. This significant development was discussed during a meeting of the Lebanon Response Plan (LRP) Committee, which was attended by Vice President Tarek Mitri. The returning individuals have been permanently removed from the UNHCR database.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, an additional 74,000 Syrians have expressed their intention to return to Syria before the end of the year. This progress highlights the government's commitment to facilitating a sustainable return of displaced Syrians and showcases the successful collaboration with both national and international partners in achieving these goals.
