Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi acknowledged that Iran's nuclear facilities had suffered "significant damage," while simultaneously asserting that the nuclear program had not been destroyed and that Tehran remained committed to its right to enrichment. He also expressed Iran's readiness to provide "full guarantees" confirming the peaceful nature of the program, according to Sky News Arabia.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, in an interview with Russia Today, Araghchi stated, "The truth is that our facilities have been damaged, and severely so," but emphasized that "our technology remains intact, and technology cannot be bombed." He added, "Our resolve and determination remain unchanged."
The Iranian Foreign Minister affirmed that his country considers the peaceful use of nuclear energy, including enrichment, a "complete and legitimate right," adding, "We developed this technology ourselves, and our scientists made great sacrifices for it, as did our people; they suffered from sanctions, and today they are suffering from a devastating war. Therefore, we cannot relinquish our rights."
In return, Araghchi announced Tehran's readiness to provide international guarantees, stating, "We are prepared to offer full guarantees that our program is peaceful and will remain peaceful forever."
