Weather Forecast: Cold Storm Persists, Snow and Frost Warnings Issued

Beirut: The forecasting department at the Lebanese Meteorological Service on Tuesday said Lebanon will experience partly cloudy weather tomorrow, with fog on high ground and a slight rise in coastal temperatures.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, light, scattered rain is expected, with light snowfall starting at around 1,200 meters, alongside wide daytime clearings. Winds will remain active, with warnings of icy road conditions overnight from 1,100 meters.

A highly effective low-pressure system originating from the northern Black Sea continues to affect Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean, bringing very cold air masses, heavy rain, thunderstorms, strong winds, and snow that may reach 900 meters in inland areas and northern highlands. The system is expected to ease gradually by Wednesday morning, leaving frost and ice formation.

Authorities warned of flash floods, soil erosion, dangerous mountain travel above 1,400 meters, falling billboards and solar panels due to strong winds, and sea waves reaching up to five meters.
