Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain secured a seat on the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Youth and Sports Ministers during the election session at the conclusion of the Council's meeting, reflecting Bahrain's leading position and active role in supporting joint Arab efforts in youth and sports.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the membership recognises the Kingdom's work in developing youth policies and programmes, enhancing Arab partnerships, and supporting initiatives that empower Arab youth and build their capacities. This aligns with the shared Arab priorities and sustainable development goals, and with the vision of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to enhance Bahrain's role in regional and international youth affairs.
Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, expressed pride in the confidence placed by fellow Arab ministers. She noted that the membership represents an additional responsibility to continue joint work and intensify efforts to advance the youth and sports sectors across the Arab world.
She highlighted that the Kingdom's election reflects the trust of Arab countries and recognition of youth as a cornerstone of development. Through this membership, Bahrain aims to strengthen Arab integration, support initiatives that meet youth aspirations, and empower youth to participate actively in the comprehensive development process.
