HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali Congratulates Bahrain on Selection as Capital of Arab Sports Culture 2026

Manama: His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), extended congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the selection of the Kingdom of Bahrain as the Capital of Arab Sports Culture 2026.

According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali stated that the selection reflects Bahrain's prominent position in the Arab sports arena and aligns with His Majesty the King's vision to support and develop the sports sector. This development aims to make sports culture a fundamental part of community building while promoting national and human values.

HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali attributed this recognition to the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and the follow-up of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, President of the BOC. Their initiatives have been pivotal in constructing a competitive sports system and fostering community sports awareness.

HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali emphasized that being named the Arab Capital of Sports Culture is a national responsibility. It is an opportunity to continue building on these achievements and to enhance the Kingdom's role as a leading example of integrating sports and culture.
