Manama: Shaikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, received Ghada Hameed Habib, Secretary-General of the Ombuds Office. During the meeting, the Undersecretary commended the pivotal role played by the Ombuds Office in upholding the principles of justice and transparency, in a manner that contributes to strengthening respect for human rights.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting also reviewed avenues of cooperation and coordination between the Ministry of Interior and the Ombuds Office, within the framework of enhancing joint efforts aimed at supporting and entrenching human rights principles. The discussion also covered a number of topics of mutual interest.
For her part, the Ombudswoman expressed her appreciation to the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, praising his keenness to strengthen communication and coordination.
