Baabda: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Wednesday received Head of the Free Patriotic Movement, MP Gebran Bassil, at Baabda Palace. They discussed the general situation in the country and the latest local and regional developments.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, MP Bassil, upon emerging from the meeting, stated that the discussion focused on the situation in Lebanon and the surrounding region. He highlighted the importance of understanding among Lebanese citizens to confront potential divisions.
Bassil also stressed the necessity of respecting constitutional deadlines concerning parliamentary elections. He underscored the importance of adhering to the current electoral law to ensure a smooth electoral process.
