Dubai: Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam held a meeting with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit in Dubai. The discussions between the two leaders focused on key issues of financial and economic reform, as well as regional security concerns.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon,during the meeting, Prime Minister Salam provided an update on the progress made in financial and economic reforms. He highlighted the challenges faced in extending state authority south of the Litani River, attributing the obstacles primarily to Israel’s continued occupation of certain areas.
Prime Minister Salam emphasized the necessity of garnering international support to end Israeli hostile activities. He called for international efforts to ensure the withdrawal of Israeli forces from occupied territories and to secure the release of prisoners, reflecting the broader regional security concerns shared during the summit.
