Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri met with a delegation from Tripoli at the Second Presidency headquarters in Ain al-Tineh. The meeting focused on the situation in Tripoli, with particular emphasis on structurally unsafe buildings. The delegation comprised notable figures from Tripoli, including Mufti of Tripoli and the North Sheikh Mohammad Imam, Archbishop Youssef Soueif of Tripoli's Maronite Archdiocese, Metropolitan Ephraim Kyriakos of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Tripoli, Sheikh Mohammad Abdul Karim Mustafa from the Alawite Islamic Council, North Lebanon Qaemmaqam Iman Al-Rafi'i, and Tripoli Municipality Head Abdul Hamid Karimeh.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, discussions highlighted the issue of buildings at risk of collapse and the practical measures being implemented to address these concerns. In addition to these discussions, Speaker Berri also engaged with MPs Tony Frangieh and William Tawk, focusing on political and field developments, legislative matters, and the overall situation.
