Beirut: Chairman and General Manager of Lebanon's Housing Bank, Antoine Habib, on Monday met with Deputy Prime Minister, Tarek Mitri, to review the bank's work and ongoing projects aimed at ensuring the sustainability of housing loans for low- and middle-income citizens and persons with special needs. The initiative seeks to curb youth emigration and encourage young Lebanese to remain in their homeland.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, both sides stressed the importance of providing subsidized housing loans that meet citizens' needs, particularly amid the country's difficult economic, social and living conditions.
During the meeting, Habib unveiled a new loan in Lebanese pounds dedicated to home renovation requests, valued at LBP 2 billion per loan and repayable over a 10-year period.
Mitri commended the Housing Bank's mission and its efforts to serve Lebanese society, especially young people.
