Al burghuliyah: This morning, the Italian Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) unit of the Western Sector of UNIFIL organized a free medical session for families displaced from the Blue Line, who are currently residing in Al Burghuliyah. Italian doctors provided medical examinations and distributed medications to over one hundred individuals, including women, men, and children who have been away from their homes for nearly two years. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the initiative was a gesture of solidarity with the communities of southern Lebanon, especially during the significant month of Ramadan. The support provided in healthcare and education is crucial for UNIFIL's Sector West and all its operations. In recent months, the CIMIC of Sector West and international SW assets have conducted more than 1,000 visits to elderly individuals, men, women, and children. UNIFIL remains committed to its mission of supporting the authorities and the population of southern Lebanon. Alongside the Lebanese Arm ed Forces (LAF), UNIFIL patrols the region daily to monitor and document any breaches of Resolution 1701.
