Beirut: Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez Rasamny, on Wednesday received a French delegation headed by French President Emmanuel Macron's special envoy, G©rard Mestrallet, as part of the delegation's visit to Lebanon. Discussions focused on the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) project and the prospects for Lebanon's participation, given its strategic geographic location.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, talks reportedly highlighted Lebanon's potential role as a logistics hub, maritime transit point, and service center in the Eastern Mediterranean, enabling it to integrate into the strategic corridor.
Later in the evening, Rasamny met MP Hussein Hajj Hassan, with whom he discussed regional development matters.
